In the parks you can find all the details of Dutch nature: dunes, forests, heather, peat bog, tidal water, stream valleys and fens. And the inhabitants also vary by park: special bird species, butterflies, reptiles and amphibians, red deer, badgers, beavers, otters and seals find their place in the parks.

Normally Vogelringstation Schiermonnikoog provides an excursion every Sunday and Wednesday morning from August to October, bookable through the Visitor Centre in the village.
